White Plains is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around White Plains is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was disappointed by my experience here. The nursery has a great selection of plants, flowers, and trees, but the atmosphere was overshadowed by the owner’s behavior. During my visit, I witnessed the female owner yelling at employees and using profanity in front of customers, including children. It created an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment that took away from what could have been a pleasant shopping experience. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously, treat their employees with more respect, and provide customers with the welcoming environment the nursery deserves.

Great place! I needed sod, called a bunch of places no one had any but Gedney did! They even held 20 pieces for me. When I got there they helped me load it into my truck, better quality sod and were cheaper than that dump of a place called home depot. First time there I was in awe of the place, will be a regular and happy to make the drive from the Bronx. If you know what it’s like to be treated like a human and have a great old school shopping experience the way things were before big money warehouses came and destroyed everything, shop here. These are people who will remember you and smile every time you stop by. Thanks again!!!

This is primarily on the joy we felt FINALLY finding our fabulous Christmas tree this year. Drove all around looking for a tree. Went up to beacon. To Cortlandt. To dobbs ferry, garrison Tarrytown etc etc etc. no luck. Finally called Gedney. They were very friendly and said they still had a great tree selection. We got there and found beautiful, healthy trees at great prices.m of various sizes. We found exactly what we needed at a great price-not ridiculously expensive. Found everything we needed there and the extra stuff like tree prolongers. Best of all, they welcome dogs. I’d go back there again and go for other plant needs. Easy to get to from the city. See photos. The tree was perfectly shaped and could hold the decorations.

Bought a 7 foot Yoshino Japanese Cedar from Gedney Farms Nursery at a fair price. Beautiful and healthy tree! Fast delivery (received my tree the next day after purchase) and the staff was very careful with handling the tree during delivery. Carla was very attentive and addressed all of my questions and even gave me a promotional discount to my purchase. Highly recommend Gedney Farms Nursery!
